One thing I miss about college and my previous job as an in-house artist is sharing a studio with others. Not only for the advice and connection, but mainly for the bonus of learning how other artists work and their own creative process. Artists are so diverse in their materials and techniques, it is fascinating to have that exchange of ideas while learning and evolving yourself. I think many artists, myself included, are sometimes more interested and connected to the process as opposed to the final product. Since my son was born, I generally work alone and now find myself having to be self-reliant when it comes to resolving my issues in the studio.  Although I miss the connection to other artists, this "Alone time" has forced a new phase of growth in my own work and process.
